Bonita Trotman-Herndon has served as Strategic Development Manager/Deputy Program Manager at Advanced Decision Vectors (ADV) since September 2014. Her portfolio includes governance of over $12 million in various Federal contracts for ADV and overseeing recruiting and retention efforts companywide. She has overseen the placement and retention of 1000 personnel CONUS and OCONUS. Ms. Trotman-Herndon previously served as Division Chief/Deputy Project Manager in support of ADV’s Human Resources Directorate (HRD) contract located at Fort Lee Adjutant General (AG) Soldier Support Center. Leading a staff of 60 prime and subcontractors, she successfully managed a multi-million-dollar contract responsible for all program planning, analysis, management and execution of mission requirements established by Human Resource Command (HRC). Leveraging her military knowledge and experience, she provided monthly guidance to garrison; installation and major subordinate commands (MSC) Commanders and staff on the unit priority of fills, stabilization, and Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) rotation for all assigned military personnel. She has also maintained the daily operations of all human resources personnel functions for 20,000 Soldiers, students and family members assigned to Ft. Lee. Ms. Trotman-Herndon had a distinguished career in the U.S. Army for over 28 years before retiring in 2013 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (LTC). Both domestically and abroad, she served in various leadership roles as Commander, Senior Human Resources Manager, RAND Fellow and Army Element Commander for the Joint Staff as the Deputy Chief Personnel Service Division (PSD), J1. Bonita Trotman-Herndon is a 1989 graduate of Virginia State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Hotel Restaurant Management. She also earned a Master of Science Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College in 2003. She is a recipient of the Legion of Merit for significant achievement and distinguished service.
